(The rest of the crew holds a discussion on Icarus and how to complete their mission.)
Mace: So I’ve been through Icarus’s activity file and I checked it and double-checked it, and Cory triple-checked it. And it’s the same results. So, in other words, unless Icarus is deleting her own files, she didn’t do it.
Corazon: And there was no 1)malfunction on the airlock hardware.
Mace: Which means the airlock was decoupled manually.
Corazon: Cassie and I were on the Flight Deck the
  whole time.
Mace: And I was with Capa and Searle. And I think we can all assume it wasn’t Harvey. Which leaves one possibility. Trey.
Capa: ① himself. He sleeps for 23 hours a day. ②And he blames himself for everything that’s gone wrong. Why would he
  do it?
Mace: We don’t know. But the possibility remains that it was him and we gotta take that seriously.
Capa: By doping him up more?
Corazon: This isn’t just about the possibility of whether he 2)sabotaged the airlock hardware. There is something else too. When Searle and Harvey died, we lost two breathers. If Trey dies...we’ll have the 3)oxygen to make it to the
  delivery point.
Capa: At least now we know what happened on Icarus I. The same thing that’s happening here.
Mace: What are you trying to remind us of? Our lost humanity? I’ll do it. ③I’m not passing any bucks.
  Cassie: Do it how?
Mace: That’s between me and Trey. We’ll have a vote this time. 4)Unanimous decision required. So you know where I stand.
  Corazon: And me.
Capa: What are you asking? ④That we weigh the life of one against the future of mankind? Kill him.
  Corazon: Cassie?
  Cassie: No.
  Mace: Cassie.
Cassie: I know the argument. I know the logic. You’re saying you need my vote. I’m saying you can’t have it.
Corazon: So, what do we do?
  Cassie: Oh, God.
  Mace: I’m sorry, Cassie.
Cassie: ⑤You make it easy for him. Somehow. Find a kindness.
