在中学数学教学中,结合教学内容适当地给学生介绍点数学史知识,或者利用黑板报选登一些这方面的资料,对培养学生辩证唯物主义和历史唯物主义观点,了解所学知识的历史演变过程和发展规律,培养民族自尊心、自信心,激发民族自豪感,提高学习兴趣是有益的,对学好基础知识也是有帮助的。培根说得好,学史使人明智。在中学阶段尽管我们不能把数学史作为一门课程来专门研究,但于适当章节介绍点片段,也是办得到的。笔者拟根据中学数学教学内容,编选这点资料供教学时参考。一、“数学”名称的来由“数学”在我国古代叫“算术”或“算学”。古代“算”这个字有三种写法:、或“算”在
In middle school mathematics teaching, students are introduced to the knowledge of the history of mathematics in conjunction with the content of the teaching, or they can use blackboards to obtain some information in this regard. They can develop students’ dialectical materialism and historical materialism and understand the historical evolution of their knowledge. The process and development laws, training national self-esteem, self-confidence, stimulating national pride, and improving interest in learning are beneficial, as well as helpful in learning basic knowledge. Bacon said it well and learning history makes people wise. Although we cannot specialize in the history of mathematics as a course at the secondary level, it is also possible to introduce point fragments in appropriate sections. The author intends to compile this information according to the teaching content of middle school mathematics for reference in teaching. 1. The origin of the name “mathematics” was called “mathematics” or “calculus” in ancient China. There are three ways to write the word “calculus” in ancient times:
