Taking cabbage and cabbage as test materials, pot experiments were conducted to study the effects of three heavy metal elements (Cd, Hg and As) on the growth of two kinds of vegetables and their cumulative effects on shoots The relationship between total heavy metals and available contents of heavy metals in soil and the contents of heavy metals in aboveground parts of vegetables were discussed. The effects of soil physical and chemical properties on the accumulation of heavy metals in edible parts of vegetables were also discussed. The results showed that there was a significant negative correlation between aboveground dry matter weight and soil Cd content in two kinds of vegetables, while Hg and As contents in soil had no significant effect on dry matter weight of vegetables. Pakchoi was more able to enrich three heavy metals than cabbage and three kinds of elements The order of Cd enrichment in shoots was Cd> Hg> As. There was a significant positive correlation between total Cd in shoots and Cd content in shoots. Hg content was positively correlated with Hg content in Brassica campestris, Significantly, there was no significant correlation between total As content and As content in two kinds of vegetables. There was a significant positive correlation between available Cd and As content in soil and Cd and As content in two kinds of vegetables. Hg in effective soil and Hg content in Chinese cabbage were significant , And had no significant correlation with the content of Hg in small vegetables. Increasing soil pH and organic matter content significantly inhibited the enrichment of Cd in the edible parts of vegetables, but had no significant effect on the accumulation of As and Hg.
