词汇是语言知识的重要组成部分,是学生语言能力发展的基础。对高中词汇教学现状的一次调查表明:教师的词汇教学观念陈旧,词汇教学缺乏具体语境,单词与上下文脱离;学生机械记忆单个单词,遗忘快,效率低。如何改善学生耗时低效的词汇学习状况,有效地积累词汇,是摆在每一位教师面前的现实问题。本文依据词块理论,结合人教版高中英语阅读课文素材,就如何通过词块教学来帮助学生扩大词汇量、提高英语学习效率进行了探讨。
Vocabulary is an important part of language knowledge, is the basis for the development of language ability of students. A survey on the status quo of high school vocabulary teaching shows that teachers’ outdated vocabulary teaching concepts, lack of specific context in vocabulary teaching, and the separation of words from contexts, the mechanical memorization of a single word by students, the rapid forgetting and the low efficiency. How to improve students’ time-consuming and inefficient vocabulary learning and to accumulate vocabulary effectively is a realistic problem for every teacher. This article, based on the theory of lexical block, combined with the PEP material of senior high school English reading textbook, discusses how to help students to expand their vocabulary and improve their English learning efficiency through lexical teaching.
