对于小型通用发动机排放物的测量,通常采用稳态未净化排放物法,如SAE推荐的J1088号方法。该方法的优点是可以为所设计的发动机提供最常见的排气的浓度值。但是测试过程复杂,且受到发动机的性能及排放物本身的影响,不能同时测量颗粒。因此,有必要考虑一种新的原理上类似于公路汽车和重型汽车排放物测量的全稀释法,以得到置信度高得多的测量数据。当对小型发动机排放物的鉴定和检查成为一种现行程序时,只获得必要数据的稀释排气法对生产厂及管理机构来说都将是相当有用的。加州空气资源委员会ARB、美国环保局EPA、美国汽车工程师协会SAE和生产厂及其行业集团合作研究出稀释法。
For small common-engine emissions measurements, a steady-state, unpurified emissions approach is commonly used, as recommended by SAE, J 1088. The advantage of this method is that the engine can be designed to provide the most common exhaust gas concentration values. However, the testing process is complicated and subject to the performance of the engine and the emissions themselves, the particles can not be measured at the same time. Therefore, it is necessary to consider a new full dilution method that is similar in principle to emissions measurement of road and heavy-duty vehicles to obtain much higher confidence measurement data. When the identification and inspection of small engine emissions become an ongoing procedure, a dilution exhaust method, which obtains only the necessary data, will be quite useful to both the production plant and the regulatory agency. The California Air Resources Board, ARB, the EPA, the EPA, the American Society of Automotive Engineers, SAE, worked with manufacturing plants and industry groups to develop a dilution method.
